Saturday Feb 26, 2022
Saturday Feb 26, 2022
Hello and welcome to adoption conversations, in this episode we pick up adopted adult, David Benjamin's, presentation at the Adoption and Fostering Podcast Conference at the end of 2021. The focus of the day was in relation to adoptees an their identity and David shares his perspective and experiences from that perspective. It is worth noting that it was a really emotive and powerful presentation and all who attended were impacted and moved by David, so look after yourself.
You can find out more about David on his website here as well as follow him on Twitter here and even listen to him on the Adoption: The Making of Me Podcast here.
On another note the audio quality isn't perfect and you can tell it was done in an echoey room but that eases as the conversation progresses.

Thursday Feb 17, 2022
Thursday Feb 17, 2022
In this #WednesdayWebcast we chat to Charlotte Jenkins from Beacon Family Services.
Following on from last week's webcast we're looking at social work's response to children and families where children's behaviour is challenging and aggressive. Often the underlying issues and causes are complex and layered and the resources available to social workers can be limited. We unpick all of that and think about what social workers can do to be better.
Beacon House's website is here and there's a range of free resources that you can access there.
