Adoption Conversations: Charlotte and Kerrie
Saturday Jan 23, 2021
Saturday Jan 23, 2021
Welcome to conversations from the Adoption & Fostering podcast
In this conversation Scott has a really interesting discussion with Birth Mum Charlotte and Adoptive Mum Kerrie. It is a unique story, and one that left him speechless.
Charlotte and Kerrie have established a relationship in the hope of it benefitting their son, and what began as a facebook message has now developed into something clearly quite special for everyone.
Whilst still early days for everyone, Kerrie felt it right that Charlotte should always be involved in their sons life, and with support on both sides they have embarked on a more open adoption.
Both Mums were a joy to talk to, and I don’t mind admitting to some eye leakage from myself during the conversation. It would spoil it for you to say much more before you listen…
It’s their story and reflects their views and experiences and If you’d like to share your story please get in touch through the Facebook page or twitter page or email us at AandFpodcast@gmail.com

Additionally, she has made some resources to go with her chat and they can be found here.
Helen also work for Inner World Works and they can be found here.
In many ways Al didn't quite reach his usual standards this week, both in paying attention and WiFi stability, and consequently will be sat in the naughty corner til the next episode.

2020 Christmas Special with Becky Brooks
Saturday Dec 26, 2020
Saturday Dec 26, 2020
In this, our fifth Christmas special, we planned to unwrap the festive season with a light hearted banter filled episode on the joys of fostering and adoption in the Christmas season. However, in what can only be described as a flurry of controversy we get drawn into the leaked/botched ASF announcement (huzzah, good news!) as well as Becky's views on the Children's Commissioner. We then limp through a feeble attempt at a quiz and end in a glorious 'alternative adoption Queen's speech' from a fabulous surprise guest.
Generally all good though Beck does sound as though she's underwater at points that was either tech problems or egg nog.
