We also chat about language, high need behaviour and the need for System Literacy for parents.

Regina describes finding out that she was adopted and her decision to keep that knowledge to herself into her adult life is explored and why she decided to keep that information private. Hello and welcome to conversations from the adoption and fostering podcast. In this episode we speak to Keri an adoptive parent living in North Carolina in the US.

Keri shares her experience of being a licensed foster carer and adopting from the state. She shares her perspectives on the system shining a light on how the differs from the UK . Keri’s discussed the challenges that they faced as a family and the impact on her son. She also shares her experience of developing and maintaining links with her children’s birth mother counter the norm within the foster to adopt system.
