In what can only be described as a bizarre episode we unpick the Curse of the interview with the Children and Families Minster. A cruel and twisted tale of two ministers, hopefully we'll be able to reschedule with the minster soon. Thank you for all your questions and topics, we'll not waste them.
There's a bit more information in relation to the Somerset Judgement and we unpick some stuff around current events, sharing news with children, inappropriate texts and all the other stuff.
The link to the FB Group we mention is here.

An Interview with MollyMamaAdopt
Saturday Mar 05, 2022
Saturday Mar 05, 2022
This week is a bit different as Scott has been away and Al partaking of his favourite pastime of 'extreme therapeutic parenting'. So we're releasing an interview we did with Molly earlier in the year. Molly is an adoptive parent and she shares her experience of adopting amidst lockdown as well as already having her her own biological child. Molly has actively used Instagram as a source of support and you can find her there as @MollyMamaAdopt. She shares her experience and insights on that platform and we decided that she would be the ideal person to unpick aspects of social media, adoption and adopters.

Adoption Conversations - David Benjamin
Saturday Feb 26, 2022
Saturday Feb 26, 2022
Hello and welcome to adoption conversations, in this episode we pick up adopted adult, David Benjamin's, presentation at the Adoption and Fostering Podcast Conference at the end of 2021. The focus of the day was in relation to adoptees an their identity and David shares his perspective and experiences from that perspective. It is worth noting that it was a really emotive and powerful presentation and all who attended were impacted and moved by David, so look after yourself.
You can find out more about David on his website here as well as follow him on Twitter here and even listen to him on the Adoption: The Making of Me Podcast here.
On another note the audio quality isn't perfect and you can tell it was done in an echoey room but that eases as the conversation progresses.

Thursday Feb 17, 2022
In this #WednesdayWebcast we chat to Charlotte Jenkins from Beacon Family Services.
Following on from last week's webcast we're looking at social work's response to children and families where children's behaviour is challenging and aggressive. Often the underlying issues and causes are complex and layered and the resources available to social workers can be limited. We unpick all of that and think about what social workers can do to be better.
Beacon House's website is here and there's a range of free resources that you can access there.

Krish also shares some of the work being done by the board in relation to supporting SGOs as well as racial disparity, specifically panel membership, he also reflects on some areas that they're looking to develop over the next year in relation to maintaining family links.
We hope you find it interesting and we appreciate Krish putting himself up to be questioned as the Twitterverse can be a little spikey.
